I need to buy a pair of eyeglasses.
Things to consider in shopping for the best price:
1. My insurance pays $100.
2. Pearl Vision, Lenscrafters, etc. typically have $100 coupons or similar offers for anyone to use.
3. AAA has a 30% discount.
My guess is that these three items can't be comabined with one another. (That pretty much makes the $100 payment by my insurance a waste of time --- since I can save via coupons or AAA)
Do you have any ideas?Best Way To Buy Eyeglasses - Insurance, Coupons, Etc.?
Use 39DollarGlasses, and grab a $10 off coupon here http://www.007coupons.com/Health---Beaut鈥?/a>Best Way To Buy Eyeglasses - Insurance, Coupons, Etc.?
You are right, the coupons can not be combined for eyeglasses.
I have experienced higher discounts for eye glasses and
frames, higher than all that you mentioned
with the eHealthPlus membership. Check it out.
Have you heard about ';39 Dollar Glasses?'; I've read good reviews about them.
';39DollarGlasses.com was developed by eye doctors to create an inexpensive method for people to acquire high-quality, finished prescription eyeglasses. From their experience in both private offices and retail establishments, the founders decided they could provide this service for people inexpensively, bypassing expensive retail establishments.';
BTW, don't forget to visit SearchAllDeals.com to find coupons before you make your purchase to bring down your cost even further.
SOMETIMES you cannot combine insurances with sales. I worked at an optical retail chain for awhile, and we did give the 10% AAA discounts over and beyond (also student, senior, Farmer Jack...). You might want to check out other places for deeper promotions, sometimes 50% off is better than $100 off, and using the sale is better than using your insurance. Just keep in mind if you buy $39 glasses, you are going to get $39 quality and after care. Where are you going to take your glasses to get adjusted? To get the nose pads changed? How long does it take to get them? How much is it to ship? Extended warranties? Trust me, if you are going into a retail optical, they want to make money....they will save the sale no matter what.
